What is a Diabetes Test?
Diabetes is a disease categorized by high blood sugar levels, affecting 1 in 10 adults in the United States. A Diabetes Hemoglobin A1C test is a blood test used to determine an individual’s average blood sugar over a period of three months. This test is used to help diagnose diabetes and prediabetes. Continued regular testing is recommended, as early diabetes does not usually show symptoms and can put you at risk for stroke or heart attack if not detected early.
