A Breast Sonogram is a painless radiology exam that can be used to diagnose abnormalities of the breast in a non-invasive manner. It is often performed and used to help diagnose and detect breast cancers.
Who should get a Breast Sonogram?
A person with a breast lump filled with fluid (a cyst) or a solid lump. This could be a person who has a breast symptoms, such as pain, swelling, and redness.
Is there radiation involved?
No. Unlike X-ray imaging, there is no ionizing radiation exposure associated with ultrasound imaging.
When will I receive my results?
Once completed, you will receive your results within 3-5 business days in your LabFinder portal.
How do I prepare? Do I need to fast?
